Interested in joining our research group? Check this page for openings for undergraduate, graduate, and postdocs. Tucson is a wonderful, and affordable, place to live. In addition to beautiful hiking trails we are a UNESCO World City of Gastronomy (meaning: excellent food!). If you like art, music, and a climate that is warm and sunny 85% of the time then Tucson is for you! Visit the Geosciences website for more information about our program, faculty, students, and staff.
graduate Students
I will be admitting graduate students (MS and PhD) for the Fall of 2026. I am interested in creative, self-motivated students who would like to pursue a degree in paleoclimatology with a focus on organic geochemical proxies and/or a focus on climate field reconstructions using data assimilation or Bayesian methods. I also welcome students who are interested in climate modeling to join our team as part of the paleoWeather project.
The Geosciences department at The University of Arizona is a top-ranked graduate program that offers 2-year MS degrees and 4-year PhD degrees. The PhD assumes you have a MS first, so if you are applying with an undergraduate degree you should start with the MS. Read more about our program and the application process here.
If you are interested in joining my lab, send me an email with your CV and tell me why you are interested in my research and my group specifically.
Undergraduate Students
At the moment our lab is full and we cannot accommodate more undergraduate student workers at this time. Please check back for openings in the future.
Postdoctoral positions
I don’t have a specific position open at the moment, but if you are interested in a postdoc that fits broadly within the scope of the research group please reach out.
